ANGEL was education management software developed by Blackboard Inc. ANGEL Learning, often referred to simply as "ANGEL," was a learning management system (LMS) designed to support educational institutions and facilitate online and blended learning. Blackboard Inc. acquired ANGEL Learning in 2009.

Some key features and functionalities of ANGEL included:

Course Management: ANGEL allowed educators to create, manage, and deliver course content online. It provided tools for organizing course materials, assignments, assessments, and communication with students.

Online Collaboration: The platform offered communication and collaboration tools such as discussion boards, email, chat, and group workspaces to facilitate interaction between students and instructors.

Assessment and Grading: ANGEL supported the creation and administration of quizzes, exams, and assignments, as well as automated grading and gradebook management.

Content Authoring: Instructors could create and customize content within the system, including multimedia elements and interactive learning materials.

Reporting and Analytics: The LMS provided reporting features for tracking student progress and engagement, helping educators identify areas for improvement.

Integration: ANGEL could integrate with other educational technologies, systems, and databases, allowing for a seamless flow of data and information.

It's worth noting that while ANGEL was once a widely used LMS, Blackboard eventually phased it out in favor of their flagship product, Blackboard Learn. Blackboard Learn has continued to evolve and is now known as Blackboard Learn Ultra, offering modernized features and a more user-friendly interface.
